In this homeskoolin’ episode, Uncle Larry, jams on his vintage ’58 Gibson EMS 1235 Doubleneck, which also happens to be his best ‘smelling’ guitar, before diving into the VCB. After a brilliant idea for creating some vintage guitar scented candles, I can smell ’em now at a future “Bath and Guitar Works” location, and a few thank you shout-outs to some very kind homeskoolers, one, for sending a box of readers and another, for a very wonderfully handmade circular, great smelling, wooden personally engraved pick tray, Uncle Larry answers a few VCB questions and pays tribute to the late and great Tina Turner, while reminiscing about a tour he did with John Fogerty back in 2000 all over Europe, opening for Tina…man those must have been some fun days!
Tom also discusses the funky use of the mellotron which is all over Tuesday’s Gone, by Lynyrd Skynyrd, played by Roosevelt Gook, look it up, and he comments on multiple other questions in the VCB.
Tune in as Uncle Larry breaks down the opening guitar riff, in today’s episode, and tries to bring back that classic Jimmy Page lick we all know and love.
Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend homeskoolers and stay away from those power tools!
